Once upon a time, in a small ivillage in Japan, there lived a kind-hearted farmer and his elderly mother. They lived a simple but contented life, relying on the meager crops they grew on their small plot of land. The farmer's mother was known throughout the village for her wisdom and compassionate nature. One day, an oppressive and cruel ruler took control of the village. He issued a proclamation that all elderly people must be put to death, as they were a burden on society. The news spread like wildfire, striking fear into the hearts of the villagers, who loved and respected their elders. The farmer was devastated by the proclamation. He could not bear the thought of losing his beloved mother. Determined to save her, he devised a plan. He decided to flee the village and take his mother to a remote mountain, far away from the watchful eyes of the ruler's soldiers.  Pinocchio Sometime in the distant past, in a little town settled in the Italian open country, there carried on with a skilled woodcarver named Geppetto. Geppetto was known all through the town for his craftsmanship and his capacity to carry life to his wooden manifestations. At some point, as he was working in his comfortable studio, he had a thought that would change his life for eternity. Geppetto chose to cut a manikin, dissimilar to any he had made previously. With incredible consideration and scrupulousness, he formed the manikin into a young man and named him Pinocchio. As Geppetto respected his creation, he couldn't resist the opportunity to wish that Pinocchio could turn into a genuine, living kid. To his bewilderment, the Blue Pixie, who had been looking after Geppetto, heard his sincere wish. Moved by Geppetto's good nature, she chose to concede his desire and rejuvenate Pinocchio.
